Timothy's Tribute Build. 3rd January 2018.

Hi me - Welcome to Today's CBRTIM Update......

Altho no plans to do any work, when I get down the Workshop.
I an secretly hoping for more progress on CBRTIM.

There is less than £10.00 in the money pot!, So at some stage gotta sort more items out to sell.....

Front Brake Caliper mount and Mudguard brace. At this stage just a sheet of 6mm metal......

Before I can start on mount bracket.

I need to get everything to sit as it is supposed to and importantly clear of any obstructions.......

It is a very slow job, made even slower by my lack of mobility..

I Have pulled down my tub of sheet metal hole cutters...

After careful measuring, a hammer and a punch tells me were the drill bit needs to sit....

And I start the long process....

My Piller drill is not really upto the this job, but just applying gentle preasure on the handle, with some lubricating fluid and just let the drill do its work at its own pace....

of boring the hole. using plenty of cutting oil.....

Nearly there!....

Finaly after 30 odd minutes the hole is cut out!.....

Time to let the piller drill rest for a while!....

The Large hole is to slide over front wheel bolt spacer.

I Have cut n drilled the left edge to fit the Honda Big One CB1000 Caliper, that I will be using.!.....

Time to test fit, to make sure thing fit were they are supposed to do..

CBRTIM's Hydrolic Jack gets some use ,whilst it awaits it's new home being built...

Gently moving the Girders a little wider so I can install the front wheel...

And to allow me to slide on the brake caliper mount/ Mudguard mount Bracket.

Still a fair bit of work to do...

And its all in place, So I remove the wooden wedge.....

Not how I want it too look, yet!.....

Time to start to line everything up.....

so it all fits n work like it should.....

Suitable Caliper mount bolts sourced from my SS bolts, Washers n Nut TUBS......

This is what happens when your mind wanders at an important point and you do not pick it up till its too late !!......

This mount plate is now scrap!

Ok I can get the caliper mount and wheel spacer bolt holes from it, but it's not deep enough for mudguard mounts.

And I want it all in one piece.

This is all happend because my mental health was shattered and I lost all focus and concentration, in the work I was doing!!.

So pretty much the whole day has been a total loss!!
