21st January 2018 - CBRTIM Tribute Build Album.

Hi Folks.

Back in the workshop again, generally sorting thru items to see what I can find to sell off, to help make some valuable Funds and space in the workshop!

This Honda CB1000F (p) Clutch Cover can be sold off as I have more than enough..............

I have my plate metal bender out............

And I line the 3mm metal sheet into the bender........

And start to make the lower fuel tank........

Thats the first bend done!........

Damm I knocked these boxes of the shelf when my legs gave way!...
I better sort thru the nuts bolts & washers and put them back!.....

Now we are down to the Honda Gold wing 1400GL top box (minus the lid)!........

I offer up the topbox and take loads of measurements, to make sure it is sitting square and straight........

Looking good from here........

I find were I can add frame mounts to add the top box too..........

Just double checking Topbox is square to CBRTIM's Frame and seat pan........

just double checking the Frame measurements........

Good job I double checked and trebeled checked, as the measurements I had written down were NOT correct!!........

Using the sheet bender on the workmate has broken all the wood on this side!........

So I try and use the other part of the bench.
To make outer top box mount case and lower fuel tank filler pipe.....

Time for me to rest, so I sit down and chill out.

I have no wishes to get this wrong, as I currently do not have funds to replace the sheet metal.........

I have broken this side of teh work bench as well!....

But still progressing, Now on the floor, Just a bit slower..!.

Time for me to rest, so I sit down and look at what I have done to create this petrol tank so far!.

Still a lot of work to do on this part of the build.....

Another pretty good day all round, Altho loads of time measuring, scribbling and deep thought took up a lot of time as usual!....

I am not sure how I am gonna carry on using the sheet metal bender, as the floor is a no go for me!, Something I will think on in th enext few days...
