17th March 2024 - Transit Conversion - Day out Buying items!

Hi Folks.......Another busy day ahead!.

I like to purchase items from several different people and then create a route to collect them.
If I am buy in lots, I sort thru and remove what I want to keep and then take pics and sell the other items, to try an get my money back and hopefully most of the fuel costs!.

This time driving all over the place, to pickup and pay for items I have purchased from Face Books Market place!.
Originally there was 10 pickups, but some never replied after I asked for addresses and one was very rude as he would only give his postcode, (4 different streets) but not even a street name, let alone house number!

7.30am sees Lynne n me on the road, a quick stop at garage to withdraw some money, and we are heading towards Duxford for our 1st stop.

Paid £10.00 for this lot, Most will be put back on Market Place to sell! ..

Paid £20.00 for this cooker/grill and gas bottle with about half full of gas! ..

You may remember last year I brought a pair of rear door windows for £35.00
I only needed the drivers side, so I listed the passenger window on Face Books Market Place for £25.00 and within a few days it was SOLD!
We had arranged for the buyer to collect and pay this afternoon, we had a good chat and it sounds as if we may be able to help each other out in teh future ..

A real Busy day both buying and working with Strawbs, was totally shattered and hurt all over from the driving
Lots of miles covered, which is a good thing, as this will allow me to set sensible driving distance limits for when I go away!

Was in bed before 5pm and soon sleeping like the a baby....
