Life n Grimes of Mr C. - 17th March 2024.!

Hi me... Busy day planned, Will I get it all done?....

Only been back on the Mycena Gravis Meds for 2 days and already have noticed a big improvement!

Speech is near normal, Eye sights improved, Just my mobility is still very bad!)

Today started early!, Up at 6am to work out a planned route for today's journey.

I have been busy on Facebook's Market place, buying items for the Transit Conversion, and a little something for our garden!.

Lynne offered to come with me today, which altho things are strained, I was happy about (to keep eye on my driving and making sure I rested when I needed to).

So first stop was garage for cash machine, and we are heading of towards Duxford, for our 1st stop.

We made excellent time, even tho they have changed the roads around since I was last this way!!!

We got lost around Huntingdon, after realising that the A14 no longer is there!.

Apparently there is a new junction a little further along the A1, that is the new A! (will have to try and remember that!)

We arrived around 9.30am and were met by a lovely couple, who showed us the lot of items I had brought (Some will end up on Ebay or Market Place)

and they kindly helped to load it all into the transit.

Next stop was at Sutton Bridge, so of we head, we stop at a garage on the way as we were out of water and for a snack

We are soon back on the road and turn of the A10 for March (Big Mistake!) as we found a sign warning road closed to flooding, but the gate was open.

So we kept on driving and yep the road was flooding, but also was getting higher rapidly!

So I slowed down and the transit was soon up to the door step and I noticed water was on the bottom of my step!

But we were slowly getting thru it, after 1 mile we saw the dry road ahead, unfortunately, by the time we got there and drove around a bend it started again, luckily this time only for about a quarter of a mile.

The transit did not miss a-beat, altho on testing the brakes, noticed the rear brakes were not working!

we arrive in Sutton Bridge and Lynne got out and collected the items this time, as I could not get to the house!

Next stop is back to Spalding to pick up a rather larger item, that the seller has broken down for us, on the A17, I noticed the rear brakes were working again.
So must have just been full of water (I will get the Transit booked in and get a visual check on them).

Just down the road from our house, was our next stop.

and again the seller helped Lynne load up, I paid the £25.00 and a few mins later the seller came back as she had noticed I had over paid!!

and gave me back the extra £5.00

Today it always shocks me to find such kind honesty, and my thanks were heartfelt!
Surprise for Lynne

We stopped of at home, as I needed a wash n change and Lynne and Michael unloaded the garden seat swing, and I left Lynne at home as they had shopping to do and I headed of to Market Deeping for the last stop of the day!

Strawbs texted me to ask if I had the wood onboard for a job we have been talking about, I said yes, but have a buyer coming at 3.30pm, so would have to leave at 3pm.

As my last stop was just around the corner, I picked up the Item

and headed round the corner to Strawb's place., were he soon had the wood out and we began the preperation work and to work out how best to do the job I want done, with the bounds of the shape of the Transits body

Pic.1 - Brought this as it will charge 2 x batteries at once.

This will come in handy when I top the charge up when I have the split charger installed and when we connect the batteries together. (cost £20.00).

More about that in the Transit Conversion Room Later). The buyer was already here when I got home, and he brought the item, no haggling and I slowly made my way into the house and after taking meds went to lay down for a little bit as totally shattered.

As promised I took Lynne n Michael out for a carvery, but I was so shattered, I would have to make do with using the wheel chair!

A great meal and a drink, even tho I have a small plate these days, I still could not empty it, but we we all enjoyed it and just as we were finishing, Emma n Zoe face timed Lynne,so we started to head for home as we couldn't here them properly!

So we got home well happy with the day, my speech had deteriorated badly again, but was more interested in getting to bed and sleeping.

The only downside today was 4 more sellers, I had arranged to collect today either did not bother to pass on there addresses or in one case was very rude, when he would only give me a postcode, but not rest of details.

But in the end was also grateful as I am not sure if I would have been able to get to them!
