14th September 2019 - Timothys Corner.

Evening everyone.

A day of remembrance and OFF reflection, Of the good times we Had When Timothy was still with us

So I had decided I would spend as much of it as I could, pottering in Tim's Corner and try my best to get it nearer to completion.

Last year I finally got started on what is now known as Timothy's corner.
And then winter and other things got in the way

Little did I know just how much, this corner was going to mean to me - till today!......

I am shocked at just how much the nettles have grown, since the last time I was down here!!.....

In fact the whole area is a real mess, but that's not for today!!.....

I am so mad at myself, for letting this area that means so much, get into this state!

But what can I expect, when all I do is Fight the Black Dog, Can't get thru the door or just sleep the days away!

So out comes the Strimmer!!.....

And I take my Frustration out on the weeds Now using a strimmer and a walking stick is not easy!.....

Comments Left On Original FaceBook Post!

Norton Commando - I know what you mean about difficult.
When I attempt to use one of those weed trimmers.
I am worn out for hours after 10 minutes use

It took me over an hour to just get this little bit done. But I do not care a jot...!.....

Right The Arch, which caused me so much grief,
as it refuses to line up properly!

I know the dame thing is square because I measured each bit of Timber several times!.....

Right It has now moved, after being talked too with a 7lb rubber mallet and is finally now in line!.....

But this panel still would not fit !!!
But once I cleared the creeping weed, I soon found out why!.....

I had forgotten, that I had left and area around the edge
which will become drainage run at some point!
So with a fair bit of persuading in goes an old brick!.....

And then I notice the hole arch is on a slant !

And it should not be!..........

But with some patience and persuading, I manage to get this edge into square with the slabs..........

Next job, was to find the shears and cut this lot back !
The nettle stems were too much for the strimmer so took me a while.
Also some of my metal draw cabinets are uncovered.

I will gather them all together soon and find out whats good and give them a thorough wash and put together what I can.

Most of these will be going into the attic for the model railway, some into the workshop as well ..........

Right onto this side of the arch, once again, it needed a fair bit of persuasion..........

And it eventually comes into line........

and its all done

I will next week add a few 1/2 periods on 2 or 3 days, so as I can keep up, with what I have done, and slowly keep progress moving forward ........

Not to bad a day progress wise, as usual spread this job out thru the day, with plenty of rest breaks in garden chair.

Most of todays work, was created by not have the front wall and steps not installed yet, But I wanted to see the entrance frame solid and not fall down, as I probally will not be well enough to create another!...
